Job Description

The Opportunity

 

We are currently looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Operator join a tight knit, like minded group of people whose mission is to “make tasks safer, more efficient and less labour intensive by the use of mobile plant equipment.”

 

The Role

As a Plant Operator you will be responsible for operating a variety of mobile plant machines in and around our rail network. Plant types include but are not limited to:

  • Truck/ trailer combos
  • Excavator (tracked/wheeled and with rail guidance)
  • Front end wheeled loaders
  • Backhoes, skid steers, graders and rollers
  • Road rail vehicles
  • Rail machinery

 

About You

To be successful in this role we would like you to have the following attributes: 

  • Demonstrated commitment to Arc HSE management system
  • Demonstrated ability to operate the above machinery and a willingness to adapt skill set to rail specific tasks
  • Knowledge of track rail infrastructure and safety principles (or on a training path)
  • Basic computer skills
  • First Aid and CPR certificate
  • HR licence with a view to acquire a HC licence
  • Applying our mission parameters in all of our tasks 
  • Become a subject matter expert and train others
