The Opportunity
Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for a dynamic part-time role? Arc Infrastructure is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our vibrant People Team. As part of this exciting opportunity, you will report to the People Service Lead and be responsible for managing and executing payroll administrative duties with precision and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
• Complete end-to-end payroll processing for 580 employees on a fortnightly basis.
• Ensure payroll accuracy, reliability, and confidentiality, adhering to legislation, policies, and employment agreements/contracts.
• Verify and upload time-sheet data into our payroll system, Payglobal.
• Reconcile payroll, superannuation payments, deductions, and disbursements.
• Address employee queries regarding payroll and benefits.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and maintain audit control processes.
• Generate payroll and HR information reports as needed.
• Conduct testing, including unit testing and integration testing, after payroll system changes.
• Perform general HR administrative duties, as required.
About You
To excel in this role, you will need:
• Solid experience in payroll operations, including end-to-end payroll administration, with the ability to work autonomously.
• Strong understanding of legislative requirements related to payroll, such as taxation, long service leave, and superannuation.
• Familiarity with MYOB Payglobal payroll systems (or similar) and proficiency in Excel, with developed analytical and numeracy skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities to analyze and resolve payroll queries effectively.
