About You
We are seeking safety-conscious individuals with a strong aptitude for working in demanding situations. To be successful as a Trainee Network Controller, you will need to demonstrate:
- An unwavering commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- A strong ability to maintain composure and make sound decisions quickly and effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational abilities, sharp spatial awareness, and exceptional concentration.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Resilience and the ability to stay calm during unexpected or emergency situations.
- Flexibility to work rotating shift rosters, which cover 24/7 operations. Previous experience in shift work is desirable.
Your background could be anywhere from emergency services, logistics coordination, aviation control, or any role demanding high attention to detail and pressure handling! If you're ready to transfer those skills into a vital new industry, we want to hear from you.
Initially based at our Canning Vale Control Centre, look forward to relocating to a state-of-the-art new facility at Perth Airport in 2027! Your work pattern will involve 12-hour shifts on a rolling 24/7 roster. You'll make crucial decisions autonomously while collaborating closely with a team of expert Network Controllers to ensure our collective success.
