Job Description

The Opportunity
 
We are currently looking for a a Senior Business Analyst.
 
The Role
As the Senior Business Analyst, you will have a strong focus on business engagement and be pivotal in bridging the gap between technology and the business. You are responsible for working with various stakeholder groups within Arc to ensure that their business needs are clearly understood, documented, and translated into detailed functional and non-functional requirements to implement technology solutions that align with business objectives and deliver value.
Some of the key duties are:
  • Facilitating workshops with business stakeholders, decision makers, product owners, delivery teams and end users to elicit and document detailed functional and non-functional business requirements, use cases, process flows and translating them into clear project requirements and other analysis artefacts
  • Working closely with Technology development teams (internal and external) to present Business Requirements, as a basis of Solution Development and ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of business requirements
  • Ensure that any changes to requirements are effectively managed and traceable
  • Documenting and highlighting potential issues/ risks and working proactively with stakeholders to mitigate and resolve them
  • Reviewing and analysing the effectiveness and efficiency of proposed Product(s)/ Solution(s) to aid in Product Evaluation and Selection
  • Perform comprehensive gap analysis to identify discrepancies between existing systems/ processes and desired outcomes and propose effective strategies to bridge the gaps
  • Create and articulate the “big picture” of the solution to delivery and client teams to understand cross functional inter-dependencies and impact
  • Define key objectives and ‘to-be” state, identify success factors, and comprehend constraints, challenges and risks
  • Orchestrate the collaboration between, Business Owner, Business Sponsors, SMEs, Testers and Delivery groups by removing roadblocks and facilitating communication
  • Understanding solution interdependencies and what impact new requirements will have on other dependant applications
  • Data analysis and providing recommendations to aid management in making business decisions and to establish return of investment in some instances
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Relevant degree in Business, Technology or related field
  • Experience in a similar role with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technology & business solutions
  • Proficiency in Process Mapping, as-is and to-be
  • Ability to robustly diagnose current state, identify improvement opportunities and recommendations
  • Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage risks and resolve issues effectively
  • Good analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • An understanding of Agile and hybrid methodologies
  • Previous Consulting experience would be advantageous
  • IIBA Certification desirable but not essential
