Job Description

The Opportunity

Do you have deep expertise and industry currency in rail infrastructure, and ideally in welding, or occupational safety and a passion for helping others build theirs?

At Arc Infrastructure, we’re seeking a ‘superstar’ as an experienced Trainer and Assessor – Specialist to join our Training Delivery team. In this critical role, you’ll design and deliver engaging, safety-focused training to ensure our workforce is confident, competent, and job-ready—every time.

You'll support qualifications including Certificate II and III in Rail Infrastructure and play a key part in maintaining the high standards of our Registered Training Organisation (Arc Infrastructure RTO 52051).

 
What You’ll Do
  • Deliver hands-on training in rail infrastructure, and ideally occupational safety or welding.
  • Design and facilitate engaging, practical training programs aligned with adult learning principles and national standards.
  • Assess learner competency in line with role-based and accredited requirements, keeping safety and operational integrity front of mind.
  • Conduct training needs analysis with stakeholders to identify process improvements.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of training delivery, assessments, and learner progression.
  • Ensure all training complies with RTO, industry, and legislative requirements.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to promote a safety-first, lifelong learning culture across the network.

 

What You Bring

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (mandatory) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in training and assessment.
  • Relevant rail, and ideally welding or occupational safety qualifications, with 7+ years' experience in a specialised rail infrastructure role.
  • Delivery and assessment experience with Certificate II and III in Rail Infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices and practical training in track and ideally welding work or occupational safety.
  • High level of facilitation, mentoring, coaching and ability to influences others to drive training outcomes and behaviours.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • A calm, adaptable approach to delivering training in real-world environments.
  • Hold a valid ‘C’ class drivers’ licence.
