If this sounds like you, our Environment and Heritage Team are seeking an Environmental Programs Specialist. Reporting to our Environment and Heritage Programs Lead, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing a suite of environmental programs.

In this role, you will manage the development and rollout of key improvement initiatives across both Environment and Heritage, working closely with subject matter experts. Arc’s Environment and Heritage Team are entering an exciting improvement phase, and this position is critical to ensuring we deliver meaningful change while continuing to meet the expectations of our internal and external stakeholders.

 

The Role

As the Environmental Programs Specialist, you will be responsible for: 

  • Managing the delivery, implementation (where applicable) and continual improvement of Arc’s Environment and Heritage Programs
  • Designing and developing governance documentation for projects/programs including schedules, budgets and project plans
  • Producing project updates and memorandums for various stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Management of technical consultants to support program activities e.g. botanical surveys
  • Coordinate the delivery of system improvements across environmental and heritage systems
  • Facilitate the completion of reporting requirements for multiple stakeholders including Arc’s Executive, Management Teams and regulators
  • Manage the ongoing review of Arc’s Environment Management and Heritage Management Systems including policy and procedure development

 

About You

 Our ideal candidate would possess the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in program and/or project management (environment/heritage experience is not required)
  • Experience in the management of consultants or project teams
  • Experience in preparing management system documentation such as policies, procedures and work instructions with the ability to turn technical language into digestible information for all stakeholders
  • Prior experience in preparing and coordinating reports for various stakeholders including Executive Management and frontline teams
  • Experience liaising with stakeholders to conduct technology system improvements and rollout
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
