This position is responsible for Enterprise Risk Management and Assurance at all levels within the business and coordination of the Risk & Assurance Function. Improving, innovating and applying best practice to deliver high quality risk management & assurance to the organisational stakeholders.
Key duties and responsibilities are;
- Program delivery of the enterprise risk and assurance management system, ensuring data quality, reporting integrity, appropriate access controls and continuous improvement, and using assurance insights to lift organisational risk and control maturity.
- Integrate enterprise risk, audit, assurance and business continuity activities to optimise coverage, minimise duplication, and proactively identify emerging and systemic risks through horizon scanning, assurance outcomes and external intelligence.
- Provide enterprise‑level assurance over the effectiveness of control design and operation for material, strategic and regulatory risks, ensuring appropriate assurance coverage, quality, consistency and timely escalation of systemic or emerging issues.
- Working with various stakeholders including leadership team, Project Managers and Functional Leads to manage risk and embed processes to drive successful risk management & assurance across the business.
- Coordinate the development of the annual Governance and Risk Assurance Schedule in collaboration with Arc’s Executive Management for approval by the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee. Utilise and demonstrate a risk-based approach when determining first line and second line assurance priorities.
- Program management and delivery of enterprise risk & assurance rolling and annual program
- Risk & assurance reporting, analysis and to management, governance committees and external stakeholders.
- Improve and maintain enterprise risk & assurance framework and associated documents
- Lead regular reviews with Governance and Risk Leaders to inform and adapt risk & assurance planning and activities, using assurance data to support a risk-based approach.
- Provide independent challenge, insight and escalation to Executive Management on material risk and control weaknesses and lead external risk and assurance reporting obligations.
- Partner with business, project and leadership teams to deliver enterprise risk, assurance and business continuity activities, including facilitation of risk workshops, assurance reviews, regulatory activies, and governance reporting.
