Job Description

The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Mechanic / Fitter to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is based in Kenwick on a 5 days on, 2 days off OR 10days on, 4 days off roster, with regular regional travel / camp away required. Our Fitter’s ensure that our plant and equipment is available for the maintenance and project teams to use efficiently. A tool of the trade vehicle is provided equipped with any specialised tooling required for the job.
 
The Role

As the Mechanic / Fitter you will be responsible for: 

  • Undertaking scheduled servicing of plant and equipment
  • Repairing equipment as required
  • Monitoring the utilisation and condition of plant and equipment
  • Providing on the job instruction, technical direction and support to delivery teams
 
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Mechanical trade qualification
  • Experience with repair and maintenance of a variety of plant ranging from small to heavy mobile plant
  • Experience in an operating rail environment (desirable)
  • Experience working autonomously and in remote environments
  • MR class manual drivers licence as a minimum
