The Opportunity
We are currently looking for Supervisor to join our Track Inspection (Perway Patrolling) Team in Geraldton.
The Role
The primary purpose is to ensure the permanent way and associated infrastructure within the area of responsibility conforms to Railway Safety Management Standard. You will be accountable to ensure the Permanent Way is inspected and works planned to ensure the asset remains in a safe, efficient and reliable condition, however the following areas are considered key duties and responsibilities:
- Understands key risks impacting area of work and implements controls within their area of responsibility;
- Aware of budgetary constraints and costs;
- Able to comply with relevant policies, legislation and compliance requirements;
- Assign work and organise resources;
- Monitor quality of work and ensure that work is carried out in accordance with current procedures, codes of practice, standards, operation and maintenance manuals, etc.
- Provide on-job instruction, technical direction and support to the team;
- Completion and verification of routine maintenance, fault/incident reports and storage of records;
- Liaise with third parties on technical interface of activities;
- Carry out worksite inspections, incident investigations and ensure appropriate housekeeping is carried out in work areas;
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Significant experience in rail permanent way maintenance and/or construction
- Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure or equivalent
- Certificate IV – Leadership & Management desirable
- Intermediate Computer skills
- Current WA ‘C’ Class license
