The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Corporate Finance Principal to join the team at our Perth Airport-based Head Office.
Reporting directly to Arc’s Head of Finance the primary purpose of the role is to lead Arc Infrastructure’s corporate finance planning and analysis capability, with a focus on long-term value creation, capital structure optimisation, and informed decision-making across the business. It is also responsible for the ongoing development and ownership of the corporate financial model and plays a critical part in supporting strategic planning, investor/lender engagement, and financial performance management.
Key elements of the role include:
- End-to-end ownership and continual enhancement of Arc’s long-term corporate model, serving as the central tool for business valuation, scenario analysis, strategic planning, and capital management decisions.
- Active contribution to the management of Arc’s external financing and investor relationships, including lenders, credit rating agencies, and the shareholder (Brookfield), through preparation of high-quality analysis and communication materials.
- Preparation and delivery of presentation materials and recommendations, including supporting the 5-year business plan, board memorandums tailored to various internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Arc’s long-term objectives.
- Financial and operational performance reporting, providing timely, value-added insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and is expected to exercise strong judgment, commercial acumen, and strategic thinking.
The Role
Some of the key duties and responsibilities are:
- Financial modelling and analysis: End to End management, enhancement and application of Arc’s long-term corporate financial model, ensuring it is fit-for-purpose for strategic planning, valuation, scenario analysis, and capital management decision-making. Develop and oversee other financial models.
- Debt capital management: Act as a primary finance contact for Arc’s debt providers and other key lender undertakings and ensuring timely, accurate, and strategic communication.
- Credit rating agency engagement: Support and enhance Arc’s engagement with credit rating agencies, including coordination of information flow, preparation of business update presentations, financial forecasts
- Risk and compliance: managing financial risks (interest rates, FX, credit) and ensuring compliance with Arc’s treasury policy and working with Arc’s External Reporting lead for implementation of any associated derivatives
- Financial planning and analysis: Provide key inputs for the Arc 5-year plan including financial inputs into the business planning and budgeting processes. Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, with a focus on long-term value creation.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with the Development and Commercial teams to assess, understand and evaluate opportunities, and assist with strategic decisions. Partner with wider finance team providing coaching and guidance to Accountants working collaboratively to achieve finance business outcomes
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline
- Minimum of 8 years experience in corporate finance, financial modelling, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), ideally within capital-intensive or regulated industries
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, investment evaluation, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Demonstrated experience in managing forecasting and budgeting processes, with a focus on long-term planning and capital allocation
- Strategic and analytical thinking capabilities, with a proven ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong commercial judgement and problem-solving ability.
- Self-starter with resilience and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Effective communicator with ability to simplify complex financial insights.
- Team-oriented with a focus on mentoring and capability development
